Barley Barber offers a mile long boardwalk through a 400 acre
freshwater cypress swamp preserve. You will see the environment as
it was over 100 years ago. There are hundreds of species of wildlife

Features a 5,800 square-foot, screened-in butterfly house complete
with flowering plants and approximately 1,000 butterflies in
different stages of development - all freely fluttering about the
facility. Some are still caterpillars busily munching on vegetation,
others are undergoing metamorphosis in their protective chrysalises,
and others are beautiful, multi-colored aviators gently flying
around visitors. This attraction also offers an 18-hole miniature
golf course, snack bar and gift shop.

contains tennis courts, baseball diamonds, racquetball courts,
basketball courts, and a playground. The park has a field house,

Thousands of threatened Loggerhead and endangered Green Leatherback
Sea Turtles make their nesting spots along the beaches of Hutchinson
Island during June and July of each year. Nearly 80 percent of sea
turtle nesting takes place on Floridas east coast. Organized
nighttime turtle walks are offered during this time. Walking tours
and group size are limited, reservations are a must.

During the summer, operating hours are expanded. This facility
includes an 1,800 square-foot rink with a maple floor. It also
offers video equipment, a light and sound system, a novelty shop and
a snack bar. In addition to hosting public skating sessions,
Skatetown also boasts an area speed skating team that participates
in state and national competitions.

features a 14,800 square-foot rink created from a cement foundation
that has been covered with a specially designed, epoxy finish.
Besides a sound and light system, Thunderskate aso has a video game
room, a concession area and a pro shop stocked with hockey gear.
Thunderskate also organizes youth and adult hockey leagues.

Gilbert's Bar Station is the oldest building on the Treasure Coast
and the only fully restored House of Refuge in Florida. Listed on
the National Register of Historic Places, the House (circa 1876) is
a museum displaying historical maritime artifacts, personal items
and furnishings belonging to the House's 'Keeper' and family, and a
model ship collection. A handcrafted reproduction of a 150-yr-old
surf boat is on display outside..
