The
Lodge at Vail is a quintessential aspect of the true Vail Ski
Resort experience. The Lodge at Vail has the time-honored
distinction of being the original property to house Vail's first
30-room accommodations. In fact, the resort was initially a
project of the US Forest Service, established just five years
after Vail Pass was discovered and plans for resort development
began. When it first opened for operation, The Lodge at Vail was
situated at the base of the mountain with just one gondola, two
chair lifts, eight instructors and a five dollar lift ticket -
and no one imagined that this humble resort would soon be a
highly celebrated destination for world-class skiing. The resort
has progressively evolved and has now become the cornerstone
property of Vail Village, featuring stunning views of the
snow-dusted mountain peaks in the backdrop. However, the
charming accommodations, courteous guest services and ideal
location have remained priorities - just as evident now as when
The Lodge at Vail was unveiled in 1962. Vail is now North
America's premier ski resort and the rustic 65-chalet lodge just
steps from chair one is a world-renowned hotel. Choose from a
wide array of lodging options, from quaint lodge rooms to
spacious suites and luxury townhouses. Enjoy on-property
amenities including four hot tubs, outdoor heated pool, live
piano bar, fine boutiques and wonderful restaurants. As a guest
at The Lodge at Vail, you'll also enjoy convenient access to
Vail's unparalleled ski slopes and other exciting mountain
activities such as tubing, snowmobiling, whitewater rafting,
horseback riding and jeep tours of the rugged terrain. Come
experience Vail Village's finest, tradition-rich property - The
Lodge at Vail. |

the season and herbs from the house garden. Try a
selection of well-recognized, gourmet delicacies
infused with flair. In the summer, the Wildflower
terrace offers alfresco dining at its best surrounded
by native blossoms. Year round, enjoy indoor dining
